Vaporesso XROS Pods Compatibility Guide

“Move beyond ordinary” is the mission behind Vaporesso, one of the leading names in the vaping industry. A big part of that success comes from the XROS pod platform which is widely considered one of the most versatile and beginner-friendly pod systems available today.

In this guide, we’ll break down all XROS pod resistances and compatibility.

All XROS pods are designed to work with the Vaporesso XROS Series devices, with one important exception the 0.4ohm pod. They are compatible with nicotine salt e-liquids and freebase e-liquids, but the higher resistance pods like 0.8ohm–1.2ohm typically go best with nic salt while lower resistance pods such as 0.4ohm–0.6ohm are better with freebase or very low strength nic salts. 

Currently there are six XROS pod options on the market:

• 0.4ohm Mesh Pod (not universal)
• 0.6ohm Mesh Pod
• 0.7ohm Mesh Pod
• 0.8ohm Mesh Pod
• 1.0ohm Mesh Pod
• 1.2ohm Mesh Pod

Pro Tip for Understanding Ohms (Ω): The lower ohms are powerful, produce warm vapor, and are good for fat clouds. The higher ohms are usually cooler, smoother, and less vapor producing. So if you’re new to vaping try a higher ohm, your lungs will thank you.

The 0.4ohm XROS pod is not universally compatible, and only works with new devices such as XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, and XROS Pro.

However it is not compatible with XROS 1, XROS 2, XROS 3 series, and XROS Mini / Nano / Cube. The main reason for this discrepancy is that the 0.4ohm pod requires a high wattage output that not all devices can provide. 

The 0.6ohm pod is the lowest resistance universal option, and is known for producing a warm vapor and overall strong flavor. This pod is ideal to use with freebase e-liquid, and is ideal for those who want big clouds without purchasing a completely new device.

The 0.7phm pod sits right in the middle of those available in the XROS pod series. This combines a nice balance of warmth and flavor and is compatible with both nic salts and freebase. It’s a tighter pull than the 0.6ohm pod, and results in a chill MTL rip.

The 0.8ohm pod is the most popular option because it delivers a level and polished vapor that is ideal for MTL. This is a great starting point for newcomers who are interested in trying their first hit. It works great with nic slats and freebase. Extremely versatile, this pod is a fan favorite that tends to be a solid middle ground for people.

This pod offers a cooler vape experience with a tighter draw that mimics a cigarette. Most people use nic salts with a 1.0ohm pod, and boast the higher nicotine strength and discreet vaping capabilities.

If you’re hitting a 1.2Ω pod, it feels very similar to smoking a cigarette, producing cooler vapor with a strong throat hit. It’s best paired with nicotine salts, especially higher strengths, for a satisfying and discreet experience. This option is ideal for those transitioning from smoking or anyone who prefers a tight, traditional draw.
